Eight days of wrenching, sweating, racing and anticipation came to an end today in the fourth round of a seven round race for the 15-year old class at the biggest race of the year. Approximately 72 drivers with the dream of being crowned the NHRA Eastern Conference Champion faced off in the heat at Thunder Valley in Bristol, Tennessee. We made it down to nine cars.
We fought hard all week, changing clutches, gearing and jetting during the “Fun Races” to be ready for the main event. Braylon got knocked out in the second round on Saturday and Sunday and in the first round on Tuesday, which didnt sit too well. The only thing you can say is “Its Bristol Baby!” It was fun going some rounds and watching some of our friends bring home the Wallys and big checks.
Thanks to Al, Wade, Wyatt and Fred from Craw’s racing for helping us out this week. Hoosier Tire for the great tires that were dead to the thousandth of a second in the 60’ times in competition.
