RaceQuip Youth single-layer SFI-1 racing pants are made from Pyrovatex® FRC material. Note that sometimes these garments are referred to as “fireproof” racecar driver’s suits, jackets, or pants, but actually all auto racing safety gear is “fire retardant”. Pyrovatex® offers the maximum combination of overall flame and heat protection, durability and comfort for the price. This fire retardant cotton based (FRC) material is used because it retains the softness and breathability of cotton and will wick away moisture from the skin. Pyrovatex® fabric is gentle and non-irritating to even the most sensitive skin. The treatment process leaves the exterior surface shiny and supple. Since the Pyrovatex® process combines a chemical agent with the raw cotton fibers to create a bond at the molecular level, with proper care, the suit will retain its flame retardant properties beyond the useful life of the garment. All racing suits are assembled with heavy-duty, multi-needle, over-lock safety stitch machines to provide exceptional seam strength. RaceQuip pants feature a high quality heavy duty Nomex® backed brass zipper installed with a double overlap for a more secure front opening. Pants feature a boot cuff design and stylish contrasting black leg stripes so they will match any jacket. All this assures that RaceQuip youth driving pants have a unique look and style. Designed with younger drivers in mind who race NHRA Jr. Dragsters, Quarter Midgets, Cage Karts and other types of competition series that require an SFI Certified driving jacket & pants. Exceeds SFI 3.2A/1 specs with a TPP rating of 11. Available as black pants with with black trim stripe in sizes from Child XX-Small to Child XX-Large (refer to size chart).
